The
additional resources that the country
needs as an average per year total around
US$ 160 million, which for 2015 reach
around US$ 2,100 million.10
The estimated
amounts are indicative; it is still possible
to achieve savings, especially in the
provision of drinking water and basic
sanitation if inexpensive technologies
are chosen, or financing mechanisms suggested
by the World Bank are used. It is even
possible to achieve scale economies in
the simultaneous provision of drinking
water and basic sanitation in some regions
of the country.
The
following graph presents the percentage
distribution of resources in accordance
with the mentioned objectives.
